Rocketeria’s owners, Dave Peers and Ariana Patterson are musicians first and foremost. Dave in particular has played in bands publicly since the age of 16, and is one of the most accomplished guitarists/ bassists/ singer songwriters in the region, playing in many states in front of tens of thousands of people. Notable bands played with are The Excentrics and Nick Dastardly & The Escape Artists. Dave has played the prestigious South by Southwest Music Conference, Nissan Pavilion, and some of the best venues in the country. You can listen to some of Dave's music on his MySpace page.
Ariana was an integral part of the Baltimore music scene with her band Spitshine. Among the highlights were performances at the Philadelphia Music Conference, Baltimore’s Artscape Festival, and Inner Harbor, as well as winning the Virginia Slims It’s A Woman Thing Best Unsigned Band contest.
The family music tradition continues with daughter Shilo and son Zander. Shilo was invited to sing for the local kid band sensation Crash, whose members have been taking lessons at the store almost since the beginning. Zander sings and hums *all the time*. Looks like he might actually fulfill his namesake, Robin Zander (lead singer of Cheap Trick)!
