ROCKETERIA, INC. MUSIC LESSON POLICIES

TUITION, FEES & DISCOUNTS: Tuition for Weekly Reoccurring Private Lessons students is $30 to $35 per 30-minute lesson plus a one-time $20.00 registration fee per student ($40.00 maximum per family). Families with more than 2 immediate family members enrolled receive a 5% tuition discount. Tuition for the first month (plus balance of current month if enrolling mid-term) is due at the time of enrollment and reserves your regularly scheduled lesson. Tuition is charged during the last week of the month and pays for the upcoming month. Tuition is payable ONLY via Auto-Pay (credit card on file). A late fee of $15 will be charged for tuitions not paid before the first of the month. Pay-as-you-go and Trial Lessons are $35, are payable in full at time of enrollment and are ineligible for rescheduling or refund. Our returned check fee is $25. Students who attend Weekly Reoccurring Private Lessons receive a generous 10% Student Discount on most purchases at Rocketeria (exclusions and limits apply). Pay-as-you-go, Trial and Group Lesson students are not entitled to the Student Discount.

TO DISCONTINUE/RE-REGISTER: To discontinue, 2 week notice must be submitted IN WRITING to a Rocketeria staff member, other than the student’s instructor. We assume that all Weekly Reoccurring Private Lessons students will continue lessons each month and tuition will continue to be charged accordingly until 2 weeks advance notice of cessation is submitted IN WRITING. Remaining paid tuition is not refundable but will be retained as store credit. Students who re-register within 12 months of dropping lessons are charged a $10.00 re-activation fee. If more than 12 months have passed since the termination of the lessons, the standard $20.00 registration applies.

MAKE-UP LESSONS: Rocketeria allows Weekly Reoccurring Private Lessons students 6 make-up lessons as a courtesy, in a one year period (July through June), subject to instructor availability. Make-ups have no cash value. Your instructor is paid for your regularly scheduled/reserved time and offers their available make-up times as a courtesy. Unused make-up privileges do not roll-over. Make-up lessons must be scheduled and take place within 3 weeks of missed lesson. Neither refund nor credit will be granted if the customer is unable to find a suitable make-up time within this 3 week period. Customers must notify a Rocketeria staff member, other than the student’s instructor, in person, via phone or email at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a make-up lesson. Make-ups requested as a result of sudden illness will be considered on a case-by-case basis. MAKE-UPS MAY NOT BE RESCHEDULED. Please use make-ups with discretion; NO MAKE-UP LESSONS WILL BE GIVEN IF A STUDENT IS UNABLE TO ATTEND THEIR LESSON, FOR ANY REASON, AFTER THE 6 ALLOTTED MAKE-UPS HAVE BEEN USED. Students WILL receive either a make-up lesson or tuition credit in cases of instructor absence, weather or emergency closing. Pay-as-you-go and Trial Lessons students are not eligible for make-ups.

NO-CALL NO-SHOW/TARDINESS POLICY: Students who no-call no-show for their lessons will not be eligible for make-ups under any circumstances. Students who are tardy will only receive instruction for the remainder of their scheduled time.  Please call if running late; IF THE STUDENT HAS NOT ARRIVED AFTER 15 MINUTES AND NO CALL HAS BEEN RECEIVED, THEY WILL BE ASSUMED A NO-SHOW, AND THE INSTRUCTOR WILL NOT BE OBLIGATED TO TEACH THE REMAINDER OF THE LESSON.

SUBSTITUTION POLICY: In the event of an instructor’s planned or un-planned absence, Rocketeria may provide a substitute at its discretion. NEITHER REFUND NOR CREDIT WILL BE GRANTED FOR TEACHER ABSENCE WHEN A SUBSTITUTE IS PROVIDED.

INCLEMENT WEATHER/EMERGENCY CLOSING: Please visit our website for the most up to date information regarding lessons cancellation due to inclement weather, unsafe road conditions, or other unforeseen emergency. Lessons are cancelled automatically only if MONTGOMERY COLLEGE closes due to weather conditions. If uncertain, call the Hillcrest location at 301-774-5690 or visit our website at www.rocketeria.biz.

HOLIDAY CLOSINGS: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Eve (closed at 6). Tuition for months with holiday closings will be pro-rated.
